Congratulations, your baby is turning one soon, where has that year gone? Cake Smash Sessions are a unique way of celebrating that first special birthday milestone. Not only will your baby have a lot of fun but you will have some amazing images, that you will treasure for years to come. Messy play for baby, that you do not have to clean up after.
The session is held in my studio in March, Cambridgeshire. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
You can pick one of the example themed set ups or choose the colour scheme and I will create a beautiful balloon garland for your little one. The cake is included and is handmade by a fantastic local cake maker. If your child has any allergies, please let me know when you book the session and I will liaise with my cake maker.

Astra truly made the experience very comfortable and stress free, yes that’s right even with a 1 year old, stress free! With a great choice of themes and guidance the whole time we were planning and after the cake smash shoot! Astra is really professional and such a kind lady!

When is the best time to book?I recommend to book a date in my diary when your little one is around 11 months old. This will ensure that the images are ready for his/her first birthday. I do book months in advance, so if you are definitely sure that you would like a cake smash session, it is best to secure the session with a £50 retainer. Although please do check as I may have last minute availability.

How do I book a Cake Smash Session with you?Get in touch by filling in the contacts form below and let me know your little ones first birthday date. I can then check my availability and start the booking process. To secure your session date, I require a £50 retainer, with the balance of your chosen collection due before the day of the session.

Is the cake provided by Astra Photography?Yes, I have a fantastic local baker who will also cater for your little ones allergies, if required.

How long does the session last for?Usually up to 2 hours session time is required.

What do I need to bring?A cake smash outfit, a towel, lots of your little ones favourite snacks, sippy cup and their usual travelling essentials.

When can I see the final images?Editing time is 3-4 weeks. These will be presented to you on a private online gallery or you can arrange an ordering appointment in the studio, to purchase wall art too. You can expect to receive 20-25 edited images in a gallery.

Can we have a family portrait?Yes, I welcome a family portrait, with siblings included. Please let me know if this is required and who will attend upon enquiry. I allow 1 family portrait for my cake smash sessions.
