Milestone sessions are an amazing way to capture that age, when your little one first gets their personalities shining through.  So much has changed already within those few months of being an adorable newborn. Every baby hits those milestones at different ages, but as a general rule of thumb these are best done, when your baby starts to sit up independently (6-9months old).  At this age we can get more of a variety of images.

Alternatively, a great age after the newborn stage is at around 3 months of age.  Especially, if you have missed out on a newborn session.  At this age your baby generally starts to interact a lot more.  If we are lucky, we can get those gorgeous cute smiles.  These sessions are generally done during baby is awake.  Sometimes they do fall asleep during a session, which is also lovely to get those sleepy images.

Older babies are very interactive and are full of genuine expressions, this is why I believe it is so important to cherish these moments which just race by in the first year.
